HERE COMES SANDY

and we are ready buI have no idea how we will fare.  I expect to lose electricity tonight or tomorrow, and I am just praying that if any trees fall they do not choose to land on my roof again.  We are also expecting the basement to flood as much as 6" but hopefully with any luck it will not.  *sigh*  I so hate hurricanes.

Right now it's a dark and ominous gray outside and breezythe birds and squirrels have a frantic air about them as they search for food.  I must remember to get the Sunday paper before the rains come though I will not read it today.  I will leave it for when the boredom of no electricity hits.  the candles are ready, and so is the battery radio.  We don't have the luxury of a generator, so we'll have to rough it as usual.  Oh yes, and I must shower again today, too.  Who knows when hot water will be available again. *sigh* I so hate hurricanes.

I am going to leave my Etsy shop open, though I don't know when the mails will begin again - definitely not Monday but maybe Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest.  I'll have to walk over to the library to get my orders again, like I did for Irene a few years ago, as soon as they have electric, which no doubt will be well before us.  I expect to be without power for 5-6 days again.  All I can do now is wish everyone who is in the storm path luck and prayers that you make it through relatively unscathed.

*sigh* I so hate hurricanes.
