MEMORIAL DAY

Today is the day America sets aside to honor American military personnel who died in battle or as a result of wounds sustained from combat.  We owe a huge debt to those special  men and women who gave their lives so we could remain a free and sovereign nation, and a democratic society.

So for today, please remember to thank these people in your prayers and also take some time to reflect on and honor their ultimate sacrifice.

If you have a flag, remember to fly it at half mast from dawn until noon only, then raise it to the top.  The half-staff position remembers the more than one million men and women who gave their lives in service of their country. At noon their memory is raised by the living, who resolve not to let their sacrifice be in vain, but to rise up in their stead and continue the fight for liberty and justice for all.
